In a significant diplomatic effort to promote peace and stability in the Middle East, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Türkiye have collectively endorsed the ongoing negotiation efforts between the United States and Iran. This unanimous support emerged from a high-level meeting convened in Cairo, where officials aimed to address regional tensions and explore diplomatic avenues for resolution.

The meeting, held under the four-country consultation mechanism, included Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Together, they assessed the latest developments in the region, focusing on initiatives to alleviate tensions and bolster diplomatic engagement, particularly in light of a memorandum of understanding recently reached between Washington and Tehran.

The ministers also turned their attention to the security conditions in Lebanon, emphasizing the need for sustained coordination to avert further instability. Through a joint statement, the representatives of the four nations pledged their full support for the US-Iran negotiation process, asserting that successful diplomatic talks could significantly enhance regional security, foster stability, and mitigate conflicts throughout the Middle East.

Underscoring the necessity of pursuing diplomatic solutions to the region’s ongoing crises, the ministers called for enhanced international cooperation to tackle these challenges effectively. Following the discussions, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the foreign ministers, commending the increased coordination among Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Türkiye. He recognized these nations as pivotal contributors to regional security and underscored the critical importance of supporting the implementation of the US-Iran agreement, ensuring the success of the diplomatic negotiations.
