Google AI Takes on Presentation Design

by admin477351

Google’s AI is now taking on the role of a presentation designer. A new feature launched in Gemini Canvas allows the AI to read any text document you provide and automatically design a complete, visually appealing Google Slides presentation from it.

This smart tool is all about saving time and effort. It interprets your file, whether it’s a simple outline or a complex report, and then builds a structured, themed deck. This includes generating titles, section breaks, and even adding relevant visuals.

This update positions Gemini as a true productivity partner, moving it beyond its original function as a writing assistant. It can now handle complex, multi-step tasks that bridge the gap between different Google Workspace apps.

The process is designed for convenience. Once the AI generates the presentation in Canvas, users can easily export it to Google Slides for any final adjustments, customization, or collaborative work.

The global rollout for this feature is already underway for all users, including those with personal Google accounts and those on a Workspace plan. Early access seems prioritized for Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers, with a wider release coming.
